Hubcaps don’t really come off. It’s only happened one time to my dad’s car and the tire looked like it was about to come off the rim

You could replace the covers with a poverty dish / dog dish style

So, I’ll be the one who says that the wheels on the Camaro are not bad. The caps on the Mustang are seemingly period. Mustang evolved into a kinda semi-luxury car about that time. So that would be appropriate for the era.
